Christel van Grinsven appointed Programme Secretary at CIIIC
Christel spent the past few years working as operations manager at Dutch Game Garden. As a member of the management team, she also contributed to the success of this internationally renowned games hub. With a background in regional development, she has extensive experience with (semi-)public organisations that promote innovation and entrepreneurship. She also brings a wealth of experience managing (inter)national innovation projects in the creative industries, bringing together businesses, education, research and clients from various sectors. As a key figure behind the research for the Games Monitor, whose latest edition she'll be presenting soon, she has deep insight into the growth of the immersive sector and the challenges facing (young) companies. 'I'm really looking forward to putting my knowledge and network to work to strengthen the CIIIC programme.' Christel starts part-time from 1 June and full-time from 1 September.
Jaap Stronks joins CIIIC as new Project Lead Marketing & Communications
Jaap Stronks is a digital strategist with a background in the cultural and social sector. For the past four years, he worked as senior marketing & communications advisor at Het Nieuwe Instituut. Before that, Jaap ran a digital agency developing digital campaigns for non-profit organisations. 'I like operating at the intersection of content, technology and audience reach.' As Project Lead Marketing & Communications, he'll be helping boost the programme's visibility and strategically grow its impact, together with our delivery partners and other stakeholders. Jaap lives and works in Rotterdam and joins CIIIC on 1 June.
Ferry Hogeboom becomes CIIIC's first Community & Event Manager
Getting people moving is at the heart of Ferry's work. 'Whether it's opening up conversations about social issues through a theatre production, creating a shared experience during a meaningful event, or forging new connections that help people look ahead from a different perspective, I'm always looking for ways to facilitate encounter, dialogue and imagination.' Ferry has built up experience as a cultural entrepreneur, pioneer, advisor and event manager. In these roles, he says he has shaped projects where collaboration, creative energy and social relevance come together. 'I see the role of Community & Event Manager at CIIIC as a unique opportunity to put my experience to work within an ambitious programme that connects makers, researchers and practitioners around the power of immersive experiences. I'm looking forward to contributing to the programme's goals and the partners behind it, drawing on my organisational skills, connective leadership and genuine curiosity.' Ferry also starts on 1 June.
